Local Laptop torched as Firewall Collapse

A local computer crashed and burned last week. The flames reaching as far as 'E' drive. It was Daunte's Infero, as crews tied to stem the flow past the Firewall. Heroic efforts were made, much code sacrificed, but in the end it was a futile battle. There was no way to save what was fast becoming a charred wreck.

Chaos reigned as a 'bucket line' was started, flash drive after flash drive called in to handle this critical situation. Some came in from as far as Best Buy. It was now a battle to save what could be saved before the rest of the computer was overcome.

One step ahead of the disaster, crews worked long into the night, sometimes having to move files one by one to safety. As one jumpdrive stated, " It felt like the center of Hell."

Safe Zones were established in outlaying computers, but as the situation rapidly degraded, e-mails were called in to net the folders to the SZs. By false dawn, the computer finally succumbed to the disaster. The silence was deafening.

Seven days later, the surviving folders returned to a factory set C drive. Saddened by the loss of family and friends, they are trying to rebuild . It estimated that many more weeks lie ahead before everything returns to normal.

This is why pencil and paper should stll be used, and yes the bloody thing was backed up, all except the last three weeks!!
